Westport Man Nabbed After Striking Another Driver In Greenwich Road-Rage Incident, Police Say

A man wanted in connection with a reported Greenwich road-rage incident in July was nabbed while receiving treatment at an area hospital.

Steven Lepkowski, 27, of Westport, was arrested Saturday at Stamford Hospital on an active warrant for the July incident, said the Greenwich Police.

Greenwich officers were notified that Lepkowski was at the hospital, once he was discharged, officers placed him under arrest for a reported road-rage incident that turned physical near the intersection of East Putnam Avenue and Indian Field, police said

During the incident, Lepkowski allegedly got out of his vehicle and struck another driver with a minor child present, causing a minor injury to the victim, police said. 

Lepkowski was charged with driving while license under suspension, improper turn, the risk of injury to a child, criminal mischief, breach of peace and assault. 

He was released on $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 16, 2019.
